As I’m setting up to teach a circuit class tonight. More like HITT, I ask everyone to get their appropriate dumbbell weights for chest press and this man (who’s been in my class for 3 years) comes back with these bad boys.

Oh and then I had to pick one up and hand it to him. Murray is most certainly dedicated to pursuing and maintaining his high fitness level.

Got to play with these bad boys today (1.5 poods=54 lbs) Although they’re only really good for farmers walks mostly. I really do love kettlebell training a lot though and I’ve trained myself and many clients doing full body with kettlebells. The Turkish get up might be one of my all time favorite exercises!

Never give up

@laurieseelig has been training really hard these past few weeks to hit her goals. She’s so dedicated, she even came in on Labor Day! I’m so proud of how hard she keeps at it, no matter how discouraged she may feel at times. Not giving up is the most important thing. Only when you give up can you accept failure.

Five-star recipe

I’m adding to my repertoire this year. I started meal prepping for a former client. I tested this recipe out for myself first last night and it’s getting 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 

So delicious and satisfying: turkey burgers topped with homemade guacamole and sweet potato baked fries! I can’t wait to eat more for lunch today.

My personal transformation

On the right is me in 2013, at my heaviest and unhealthiest ever. It took me years until I finally had enough. I lost 50 lbs. of weight very slowly and I’ve managed to stay at a consistent weight since 2014. I can honestly say I will never look or FEEL like that again. If you think I don’t know what it’s like to struggle with weight loss and healthy habits, take a good look at this. I know very well and I will never forget what it was like. I can relate, I can sympathize and empathize, but most of all, I want to encourage you. Know it’s possible to change your life for good! I now feel better than I ever have.
