Aleks Phillips

Canadian born and bred, I got to Austin as fast as I could. I’ve struggled with weight since I was young–my highest was 182 lbs.–but after I embraced my love for fitness and martial arts, I transformed my body, mind and my life.

It took dedication, perseverance, and most of all – GRIT. 

Now I’m inviting you to get GritFit, Austin!

I earned a degree in personal training from Austin Community College and I hold a three fitness certifications: the Personal Fitness Trainer Certification, National Strength and Conditioning Association certification and SCW Kettlebell certification. I’m also an experienced TRX instructor.

My personal mantra is, “No matter how many times you fall, get back up and keep trying.”

It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to achieve your goals, only that you are determined to get there.
